Ken + Alison’s wedding was not only one of my favorites of 2017, but it was near and dear to my heart for so many reasons. Alison + I have been close friends for about four years. I have watched her grow into the beautiful woman she is today, and have been taking her daughter’s pictures since she was just six months old. Being a young, single mom isn’t easy by any means. But with an amazing support system, Alison put herself through Nursing school while working full time and raising a daughter. If that isn’t the definition of “Wonder Woman”, I don’t know what is!
I remember when Alison told me about Ken… I had never seen her so full of excitement. The first time I met him, I could tell he felt the same way.
They were married on a beautiful fall day in Kimball Michigan. Alison stunned in a gorgeous beaded fit and flare gown. I think one of my favorite moments of the day, was when the couple invited their children to share in their first dance. Ella + Connor beamed with love and excitement while celebrating the union of their parents.
As a photographer, it always means SO much to me when a person I hold close to my heart, asks me to document their wedding day. Thank you Ken + Alison for letting me be part of your life in such a big way! I can’t wait to see what the future holds! <3
